Apple creates a connected ecosystem that is exceedingly simple to use. From the Apple Watch to the Mac, iPhone, iPad, and AirPods, there’s something for everyone.

This is why utilising AirPods within this ecosystem saves you a lot of time and effort.

So,

How to Connect New AirPods to Mac?

Make sure Bluetooth is turned on. Put aidpods in the charging case. Hold down the setup button on the case’s back until the status light turns white. On your Mac, click connect after selecting your AirPods from the Devices list.

AirPods are designed to be a simple and useful enhancement to your Apple device environment.

Simply remove them from their case and place them in your ears, and they’ll begin playing audio immediately. When you remove one AirPod, your audio will pause, and when you remove both, it will completely stop.

If you are still confused then we will present a step-by-step guide on how to connect AirPods to MacBook in the next section of this article.

How to Connect AirPods to Macbook Step-by-Step?

Below are the exact steps any user need to follow to connect Airpods to Macbook Pro and Air –

1. First, open the lid of the case without removing the AirPods.

2. Select System Preferences from the menu on your Mac.

3. Select Bluetooth from the drop-down menu.

4. In order to activate your device, press and hold the setup button on its back until the status light becomes white.

5. Click Connect after selecting your AirPods from the Devices list.

If sound continues to play through your Mac speakers, go to the Bluetooth menu or the volume control in the toolbar and choose your AirPods as the output source.

Use AirPods with a Non-Apple Device

With a non-Apple device, AirPods can be used as a Bluetooth headset. You won’t be able to utilise Siri, but you will be able to listen and speak.

Follow the below instructions to pair your AirPods with an Android smartphone or other non-Apple device –

1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your non-Apple device and make sure that Bluetooth is turned on.

2. Go to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth on an Android device.

3. Open the charging case cover with your AirPods inside.

4. Press and hold the back of the case’s setup button until the status light flashes white.

5. Select your AirPods from the list of Bluetooth devices when they appear.

Done, this is how easy it is to connect Airpods with android and other non-Apple devices.

How to Check the Status of Your AirPods or AirPods Pro?

When you open the case for your AirPods, you’ll notice a status light located between the two AirPods.

The status light for the AirPods Pro and AirPods Wireless Charging Case is located on the front of the case. To check the status of a case, tap on it.

This light basically informs you about the status of your AirPods or AirPods Pro. This is what everything means:

  • AirPods are charging, as indicated by the amber light (with AirPods attached).
  • There is no light: Your AirPods have run out of juice and must be recharged.
  • AirPods are ready to connect when the white light flashes.
  • A flashing amber light indicates that a pairing fault has occurred, and the AirPods may need to be reset.

Airpods not Connecting to Mac: Here’s What you Should Do

The simplest solution to AirPods not connecting to mac is to reset the device –

1. Select Bluetooth from the System Preferences menu.

2. Right-click on your AirPods and select Remove from the menu.

3. After you’ve reset your AirPods, pair them with your Mac again, just like you did with the new headphones.

You may also manually reset AirPods if you prefer: For roughly 10 seconds, press and hold the pairing button on your case. Your AirPods will be reset when you see the white light. You can link them to your Mac as usual. Toggle Bluetooth on and off if that doesn’t work.

Battery Life & Charging for AirPods, AirPods 2 & 3, AirPods Pro, and Max

Apple’s original AirPods have a two-hour speaking time and a five-hour listening period on a single charge.

Even better, if your AirPods case is fully charged, you can chat for up to 11 hours and hear for up to 24 hours as long as you charge the AirPods in the case.

With a fully charged battery case, the second-generation AirPods can last up to 24 hours between charges, with 3 hours of talk time, 5 hours of music playback, and a more than 24-hour battery life!
