Picture this: you’ve just gotten a new Samsung Galaxy A32 and found the perfect meme to send your best friend. You want to take a screenshot of it to keep it forever, only to discover that you’re not completely sure about how to take a screenshot on your new phone.

Don’t worry, because we’re here to help you. Taking a screenshot on a Samsung Galaxy A32 can be challenging if you aren’t completely sure what to do. In this article, we’ll walk you through three different methods of taking a screenshot.

Let’s dive right in.

3 Ways To Take Screenshots on Samsung Galaxy A32

One of the reasons why you might find it hard to take screenshots on your Samsung Galaxy A32 is that there are a few different ways to do so. In this section, we’ll break each method down and walk you through a step-by-step process explaining how to go about each one.

Hardware Keys

Using the hardware buttons is one of the simplest and quickest ways to take a screenshot, especially if the image on your screen is displayed for a limited amount of time. It’s also one of the oldest ways to take a screenshot. Here’s how you do it:

  • Open the image or video that you want to take a screenshot of.
  • Hold down the power button and volume buttons together at the same time.
  • Go to the gallery app on your phone to check if you’ve taken a screenshot.
  • If you have, the image will show up!

This method is truly one of the simplest and fastest ways to take a screenshot of something and save it forever.

Palm Swipe to Capture

This second method is a little more complicated than using the hardware keys, and it can also take a while to get used to. However, once you get the hang of it, you might just find yourself using this method more often. Here’s how to do it:

  • First, go to the settings app on your phone. If you can’t locate it, just look for the icon in the shape of a gear.
  • Once you’ve located the settings app, open Advanced Features.
  • From there, go to the option that reads Motions and Gestures.
  • Once you’ve clicked on that option, scroll until you find the option that reads Palm Swipe to Capture.
  • Click on that option and toggle the button in front of it to switch it on.
  • Once you’ve activated it, the next step is to take a screenshot.
  • We’d highly recommend that you choose a specific image on your phone to take a screenshot of so that you’ll know whether or not this method works.
  • To take a screenshot using this method, swipe the side of your palm across your phone screen.
  • It might take a few tries to get this method right, so we recommend you experiment with various levels of force across your screen!
  • Once you’re certain you’ve taken a screenshot, go to your gallery and check to see if the image you wanted to save via screenshot is there.
  • If it is, you’ve successfully mastered another method of screenshot-taking!

Assistant Menu

If the first two methods didn’t work, you still don’t need to worry. There’s a third method that’s simple to use and accessible at all times! In case you’re unfamiliar with the Assistant Menu, it’s a small menu on either the left or right side of your phone, depending on your preference. It allows you to do things like go to your home screen, take screenshots, go back, restart your phone, and lock it.

Here’s how you use the Assistant Menu to take a screenshot:

  • Go to your phone’s settings menu.
  • Scroll through the menu until you find the option that says Accessibility.
  • Click on it, then click on the option that says Interaction and Dexterity.
  • Next, scroll down to the option that says, Assistant Menu.
  • Toggle the button in front of it so that you can activate it.
  • Once it’s activated, you’ll see an icon on your screen with four small black squares. That icon is the Assistant Menu.
  • After the menu has been installed, the next thing to do is try taking a screenshot.
  • Find something on your phone that you want to take a screenshot of, then open the Assistant Menu, and click on the option that says Screenshots.
  • Click on that option, and you’re all set to take a screenshot.

Samsung A32 screenshot not working

Now that you know how to take screenshots on your Samsung Galaxy A32, you might face a newer and more frustrating dilemma: screenshots are not working! This problem is quite annoying, and here are some reasons why.

You didn’t grant permission.

If you’ve tried all the methods mentioned above and came up empty, there’s a good chance that you simply haven’t granted your phone permission to take a screenshot in the first place. To remedy this situation, you must follow these steps:

  • Go to the settings app and click on the option that says Apps.
  • Go to the upper right corner of the screen and click on the option that says More Options.
  • Once the new menu of options opens, click on the option that says Special Access.
  • Click on the option that says All Files Access.
  • Next, go back to the settings app.
  • Go to the search bar and look for Samsung Capture.
  • If you haven’t enabled screenshot access yet, enable it, and then take a screenshot to enable it.
  • If you find that the option is enabled, but you still can’t take screenshots, disable it and then enable it a second time, and you should be able to take screenshots.

You haven’t downloaded the latest software version.

If you haven’t downloaded the latest version of the software on your phone, make sure you do so. To do this, here’s what you need to do:

  • Go to the settings menu on your phone.
  • Scroll until you see the option that reads Software Update.
  • Next, click on the option that says Download and Install.
  • Wait for your phone to finish updating, then try taking a screenshot once the new update is in place.
  1. Your phone’s hardware is in bad condition.

If you tend to take screenshots using the hardware keys, there’s a good chance that they might have gotten damaged over time, meaning that you can no longer successfully take screenshots. While there isn’t much you can do on your own, you can take your phone to the nearest Samsung service center and ask them to fix the buttons on your Galaxy A32.

Does the Samsung A32 Have a swipe screenshot?

Yes, it does. The Samsung Galaxy A32 has a swipe screenshot option that allows you to use the side of your palm to take a screenshot.

Conclusion

In this article, we walked you through a few different methods for taking a screenshot on the Samsung Galaxy A32. One of the best things about the methods mentioned is that they vary in their levels of accessibility.

We’d highly recommend using the Assistant Menu option because it’s the most accessible and easiest-to-use option on our list. The next time you don’t know how to take a screenshot on your Samsung Galaxy A32, you know where to look for help.
